Help. I followed the directions in 1.50 for adding switches such as -altFont for the larger font but i keep getting an error. Does anyone know how to do this? Thanks much!

Step 1

Create a shortcut of witp to you desktop. Copy and paste the War in the pacific.exe to you desktop.

Step 2

Edit the properties of the desktop short add -altFont to the target: window "C:\Matrix Games\War in the Pacific\War in the Pacific.exe" -altFont

3) Add space then -altFont to the far right of the “War in the Pacific.exe" on the Target line, such as “C:\Matrix\War in the Pacific.exe -altFont"

The positioning or inclusion of the quotes can vary depending on O/S.
In WIN98/ME for instance, the quotes should only be around the program name (because of name includes spaces) not the options.
eg “C:\Matrix\War in the Pacific.exe" -altFont

I have a shortcut for WIP in my desktop. Right-click it, then select properties. Then all you need to do is add a space and -altFont after the path shown. In XP the path is in quotes. The space and the switch is added after the quotes.

This is also explained in the "What's New" file that comes with the patch.

Yep, the shortcut you need to make is from War in the Pacific.exe, not start.exe (the menu system)
