Airstrike entry and exits points?

Airstrike entry and exits points?

Post by AlvinS »

Greetings

In the 4th scenario of the mega campaign I encountered a problem calling in airstrikes. Using a forward observer I selected an aircraft for a strike on a Matilda II. When I select the entry and exit routine, by default it has the aircraft entering from the right center of the screen and exiting on the left center. I change this to a more appropriate entry and exit point for this scenario, which is to enter from the upperleft corner and exit on the lower right corner. I have also tried other entry and exit points but no matter what I choose the aircraft always enters and exits at the default location. Of course I lost 2 aircraft this way due to anti-arcraft fire.

I always set my airstikes last before I end my turn, so I don't inadvertantly go back into the bombarment screen and mess something up.

Any ideas of what I could be doing wrong? Could this be a bug? Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated.

I am running version 6.1.

Alvin,

You might want to check this out:

The sequencing of what you do seems to be important.

Thanks Tommy

I had always set the entry and exit after I had selected the target. I'll do the opposite next time. <img src="cool.gif" border="0">

The procedure that works for me is:

enter bombardment menu - do Air first!
set entry hexes
choose target hex
Assign plane
Exit bombardment menu

Then go back and do artillery (though I don't think it matters, I always exit the bombardment menu afer assinging air, then do arty.)
