Convention chat Friday night 8/17

Post by KG Erwin »

For those of you who are interested in the Matrix fan convention in Charleston WV, tentatively scheduled for spring 2002, please join me in the "convention" chat room, password "all", tomorrow at 8 pm EST and open until ? I need some input from you guys, because we're gonna make this happen. Dave Heath gave his blessing, and maybe even he will come, so I'm going with it. I already know that Wild Bill will be here, so let's start getting an agenda worked out. I'm looking forward to seeing you in the Matrix chat room. PS I want to give plenty of time for everyone to make their plans, so bear with me that I'm starting seven months in advance.

Sounds interesting, Erwin. I'll try to be around in the chat room, if I can make it (comp is acting up lately...again).

I'll be glad to know anything as much in advance as possible. For us people this side of the puddle, getting to Charleston means an additional post of, say, $450 to get our butts shipped across. So the more we know in advance, the more we can say if it's even possible to make it. (At least for me and my student-sized budget..)

Well, Belisarius, I appreciate that, but if no one else is going to show up tonight, it may be a very short chat. However, if you're serious about coming over next year, bring the Swedish Bikini Team with you. Who needs an agenda?

Hello, all. I'm opening the "convention" chat room, password "all", in just a minute or so. Everyone is welcome, whether you are planning to come to Charleston or not. See you there.

I want to say thanks to those that participated in the chat, and a special thanks to David Heath for dropping in and saying hello. We ARE going to do this, so I hope that we can get more participation in the next chat. It's up to you guys who expressed interest in attending. I'm providing the location and the venue--Dave mentioned that Paul Vebber would come with him to this gathering, and Wild Bill already gave his commitment, so let's get this thing in high gear and make sure that the First Annual Matrix Fan Convention will happen the weekend of May 10-11, 2002 in Charleston WV. I need your input, guys. Thanks to all of you who share the vision of making this meeting a reality. Glenn Higginbotham.
