How do you sweep mines ahead of invasions

Post by CGSailor »

I'm pretty new to UV, but have been reading the forum quite a bit. How do you use minesweepers (MSW/DMS, etc) to sweep mines. Will they sweep if you include them in a Transport (or other type) task force, or do you need to create a seperate Minesweep task force? If you create a seperate TF, to sweep for an invasion, can you set the MSW tf to follow the Transport tf with the invasion force?

Thanks for your help. This is a really terrific game. Wish I had more time to work with it.

Send MSWs in in the Transport TFs. DMSs are faster and can be put in bombardment TFs.
There are only two kinds of people that understand Marines: Marines and the enemy. Everyone else has a second-hand opinion.
