Linux compatibility?

I know it might be asking too much from the developer to port this game to Linux, though it would be a great way to get legs for the re-introduction of an old game. In any case, I find a lot of games work fine in Linux under a windows emulator like Wine. I purchased GGWAW hoping to use it this way but it wouldn't. I'm hoping that RFS, being based on an older engine, might work. Has anybody tried RFS under Linux with any success?
