Band of Brothers on HBO

Post by LeibstandartePzD »

I was just wondering if anybody caught the first two episodes on HBO last night? If so what did you think? I thought it was pretty good for a movie even with a few minor mistakes that I believe the general public wouldn't pick up on. Let me know what you think.

Thought it was excellent. I particularly liked film colors and speeds used....like Saving Private Ryan......it has the look of actual documentary film footage.

One question i have........did the German gun emplacements look like 88's (as they were refered to)?

Those were 105's. After the battle for the guns, the Officers reported that they destroyed some 105's and didn't find any 88's. It was nice to see the characters point out this fact to us.
