Tons of Nippon subs are still around PH - one made a dangerous hit on the CA Indianapolis.
And later the damn KB attacked the TF around the Indianapolis - the whole TF was eliminated in several attack waves.
But now I know - at least for a short time - where a part of the KB is ( it seemed like 3 CVs ).

Three of these annoying subs were sunk by escorts or by one of my ASW TFs around PH.

On the Phillipines it seems to me that Irishman wants to invade the Bay of Manila or maybe a landing on Baatan. He found some of my mines there [:D]

I forgot to move my ships away from Hongkong - silly me

- now the two DDs are of no use any longer [:(]

In this game I do not yet have any long time strategies. It will all depend on how Kevin ( Irishman ) will play. I think this will go a total different way than my game with Steven ( Speedy, who should probably called Slowly [:D] - but maybe he will start to be a bit faster as soon as he moves into his new home !! [:'(]

what an explosive game start - two lost carriers and many lost escort ships ( 1000+ scorewise [:(] )
Now I will have to be much more careful with the rest of may units until I get some new toys.

Only good thing was that the boys from the Lady Lexie did attack first ( as did the boys from the Enterprise !! ) - they scored a few hits on the CVs Hiryu, Shokaku and Soryu ( CV Hiryu, Bomb hits 1, on fire; CV Shokaku, Bomb hits 1, on fire; CV Soryu, Bomb hits 2 [:)] - if this is true at least 2 CVs will stay in some dockyard for a few months )

The Imperial Japanese Ministry of Information would like to counter the recent outrageous statements made by the U.S. Navy.
In the recent battles in the Pacific no Japanese carriers were damaged. What looked like a large Aviation fuel explosion was, in fact, simply the result of a sailor using too much lighter fluid on an on-deck barbecue. The barbecue was in celebration of the recent sinking of two US carriers. No Japanese pilots or aircraft were damaged on these missions though one pilot does have a slight hangover. The undamaged carriers are not in fact running away, they are actually going back home to celebrate crewman Yakasaki's birthday.
In addition, the submarines that were recently depth charged are not dead. They are just resting and could move again at any moment!

It is getting more quiet now.
Kevin has lots of power with most of the US forces on Hawaii recovering those fatal blows. Recon still says that the KB is close to PH, maybe some subs get a lucky run.

No Nippon surface ship sunk in the last few turns - only 4 subs; comparing this with my losses

- more than 1200 point ships lost !!!

I need some ideas to hold Kevin at bay for at least the next 6 months !!!

Kevin had a really good start into the game and it is getting worse for me !!

KB was still around PH, and so they attacked one of my ASW patrols - all 4 DDs destroyed !!

On the Philippines I tried a sneak attack with my PTs - without any luck! First Zeros strafed them twice and later they got caught and surprised by a fast transport convoy [:(]

Once again a DD on escort duty for a mine sweeping TF hit a mine [:(]

My Singapure based units still try to attack the Japanese fleets near Kuantan - I do this with mixed feelings !! Kevin has lots of ships around there, but his CAP flying Zeros and Oscars eat my Buffalos for breakfest - I hope for a few lucky strikes.
Still lots of Japanese attacks in China, Kevin has too many troops there, I will have to make some moves just to distract him [:'(]
