Order of importance?

Crown of Glory: Europe in the Age of Napoleon, the player controls one of the crowned potentates of Europe in the Napoleonic Era, wielding authority over his nation's military strategy, economic development, diplomatic relations, and social organization. It is a very thorough simulation of the entire Napoleonic Era - spanning from 1799 to 1820, from the dockyards in Lisbon to the frozen wastes of Holy Mother Russia.

Order of importance?

Post by Naomi »

I wonder if there is any order of importance about the military leaders and the cities? I mean, when Napoleon descends on a corps, will he override the leadership of the existing commander? Besides, will leaders differ in their effective commanding abilities? For instance, Napoleon is better at ordering around more units than the likes of Ney and Murat, will the game reflect it?

With respect to cities, will the capital of a nation be significant in such a way that losing it to invaders will affect the resource (e.g. tax, materials, and goods) collection and troopers' morale and tip the diplomatic balance unfavorably?

Yes, losing your capital SUCKS! Its a huge hit to National Morale and a huge hit on the econ. If you cant retake it, you generally are looking at surrender fairly soon.

Sure--but as I understand it Napoleon's abilities don't override the abilities of other commanders--they just all become part of the mix. Leaders definitely differ in their abilities--Initiative, Tactics, and Morale.

Yes, in this case it is better to "receive" than to "give"[;)]
