One doubt about the screenshot of Spain

Crown of Glory: Europe in the Age of Napoleon, the player controls one of the crowned potentates of Europe in the Napoleonic Era, wielding authority over his nation's military strategy, economic development, diplomatic relations, and social organization. It is a very thorough simulation of the entire Napoleonic Era - spanning from 1799 to 1820, from the dockyards in Lisbon to the frozen wastes of Holy Mother Russia.

One doubt about the screenshot of Spain

Post by Wire »

I realize a pretty strange thing in the spain screenhot.

The provinces are correct, but if you stare in the form of the peninsula you could realize the strange form of the west of it [&:]. Looking carefully in the small global map in other screenshots, where you can apreciate whole Europe and north of Africa, the feeling that Europe is cut in the middle of Spain is the same [:(].

I am wrong in my appreciation?

The map is somewhat stylized to represent a Napoleonic-era unfolded map of political boundaries (the mini-map also allows various other filters). In addition, the mini-map is slightly distorted to fit in that window. Since movement is area-based, exact distances are not as important and the stylized aspects should not cause you concern.

I noticed that also but I wasn't concerned as nothing really important happened in Spain during this era.[;)]

[&:][&:]

Have you got any idea about napoleonics campaings? :P

Do you know the spanish indepence war (1808 1813)?

Do you know that in Spain ocurred an important battles such as?:

Trafalgar, one of the mainest naval battles of the history, in front of Cadiz.

Bailen, the first big defeat of Napoleon: Genera Castaños defeated Dupont.

Somosierra: Where Napoleon attempted to enter in Madrid, and is very famous the charge of the poland cavalry with a final french victory

Other importants battles where participated Welligton, such as Vitoria, and other as the battle of la Coruña, the battle of Arapiles, or Sagunto etc etc

Spain and Rusia was the main reason of the decline of the succesfulls of Napoleon.

Do you beleive that in nothing important happened in Spain? [:-]

Wire,

Did you see the [;)] Arinvald added at the end of his comment? [:D] We all know how important Spain is and I can assure you that it works fine in-game. Actually at one point in beta we had suggestions that too much was happening in Spain, not too little! [8D]

And I thank you personally, to include Spain in the possible playable countries (not such the spanish company pyro studies with Imperial Glory [:(]), although i dont agree with you in the form of Spain, sorry :)

Otherwise, you are making a superb work :)

No offense meant to you or Spain Wire, just a little sarcasm gone wrong. I am well aware of the very important actions that occured on the Penninsula.
