Interesting game situations

Crown of Glory: Europe in the Age of Napoleon, the player controls one of the crowned potentates of Europe in the Napoleonic Era, wielding authority over his nation's military strategy, economic development, diplomatic relations, and social organization. It is a very thorough simulation of the entire Napoleonic Era - spanning from 1799 to 1820, from the dockyards in Lisbon to the frozen wastes of Holy Mother Russia.

Interesting game situations

Post by Arditi »

Question for the beta testers: What are some of the interesting game situations you have seen in a multiplayer game and what/ how did you get your nation out of trouble...or maybe you did not. It seems to me that this game system, as presented, would present many interesting strategic or operational problems that make a game very interesting...dare I say, maybe more so than boardgame EIA? C'mon guys! Tell me about the time a large belligerent army was running roughshod over your country and how a determined stand at a fortress caused the invaders unhealthy casualties....or how pinching off the belligerent's supply caused them to wither on the vine and evntually easy pickings. How about Napoleon invading England?! There has got to be some interesting beta stories out there. Share with us. Best Regards, Arditi

I'd like to hear about a huge army getting stuck in Eastern Europe/Russia with broken supply lines and a hard winter setting in. I imagine an army would absolutely melt away under those conditions. A good story about an army being harassed by hordes of guerillas in Spain would also be interesting.
