Battles In Normandy Launch Problem

Having problem getting game to start. Here are the steps I follow:
1) Click on Bin icon on laptop.
2) Select "Play"
3) Click on "Start New Game" button
4) Select scenario (i.e. Overlord)
5) Select "Play Battle" button
6) PC responds that the scenario is loading
7) On "Scenario Options Screen" I select "Start Game"
8) Scenario screen comes up and I click on "Start Turn 1" button.
9) PC brings me back to screen that pops up when I click on the Bin icon (i.e. has Tutorial handbook, game manual, various website links)

FYI - I ordered the cd-rom and did not have any apparent trouble loading the game.

Check the refresh rate on your monitor settings. I had problems until I increased the rate from 65 to 85 Herz.

Also Alex from SSG suggested that I install a driver for my monitor from the manufacturer instead of using Windows generic pug and play driver. I did both and everything has been working OK for now.....

Thanks!!!!!! Changing the monitor setting solved the problem. I just got this game and was looking forward to a little gaming over the long weekend when this issue popped up. Thanks again.
