agree, im really interested in COG, esp. i found a number of WAW pbemers appeared in the COG forum (and never come back!! [X(]). but i really need to get a feeling on the game as im not familiar with the era.

A demo is only as good as the instruction manual that comes with it.

This is one of those games that, in my mind anyway, doesn't lend itself well to a demo. It is suffuciently complex and takes long enough to master that you run the risk of a demo scaring people off instead of sucking them in. You need to spend a little time with the manual before you play. And then you still need a couple of games before you truly understand the game and are directing rather than responding to events. I am sure a demo could be done, but I worry that without providing the whole game, you really are handicapped in trying to give people the true sense of what the gamne really is.

Complettely concur, I have been playing around waiting for the patch and one of my buddies is having a real hard time figuring the game out. A demo would be a bad move here.

But actually I don't want to spend 40 $ for I a game before I did not test it. Ok, WAW was an exeption, since I knew that I like this game.
