Problems with megacampaign

Post by Rhuin »

This is the second time this has happened to me. I exit the game after the battle resolution, and I get an end of game report with 0 points for me and 0 points for the computer and a draw ending with a poorly done message and that I will have to retire for a couple of days for repair, etc.
This last time that it happened was in the senario defense of Tobruk, a 20 turn senario where I was in defense of three hill positions. I was doing quite well beating of the auzzy attacks only loosing 2 tanks to arty. I was on turn 10 when I left game via the autosave and exit, after I had finished the battle resulotion.
This is when I received the "draw" with 0-0 points
As this is the my second run through the mega campain it has done this around the senarios of tobruk (can't remember the senario it first happened in).I'll half to start from the beginning again I guess and I was doing so well to with only one marginal and one draw the rest were desive victories.

If anyone can help me out, am I doing something wrong? Is it a bug, and how can I bypass it?

Third time lucky maybe

When that happens Rhuin, do you continue to play? You should be able to do so. This only means that because of the fighting and getting a draw you will miss a battle or two.

But you should be able to continue without having to start over. Are you proceeding with the Campaign after such an announcement or are you just starting over on your own?

The first time it happened I could not contiune. Maybe corrupt save file? This last time I could contiune with a senario called last chance at Tobruk?
My Real concern is why did it stop like that in the middle of the senario I was playing and give me a draw with a score of 0 to 0?? I am trying to do the best I can in every battle to see what will happen and what score I will get at the end of the campain, but when this happens it really affect that score.
I really love this game and appreciate the time everyone has put into it. I'be been play steel panthers every since it came out. I really like what matrix and staff and all the input from fans have made this game.

I second that, I realy owe Matrix a debt of gratitude. By the way WB, thanks for all you've done, I've known your name since your work on the first SP expantions, Fine work it was. Happy retirement sir.
