Game crashed, now savegame and pilot are lost...

Well this is the second time it happened to me. The game crashed (happens, I don't mind as long as it's not too often) and when I restarted my last savegame (autosave included) were gone (0kb size) and my pilot was gone too. I was cadet again with 0 medals, 0 points and named "Pilot". It's not that I want a way to get my data back, sure I'd like that but I know it's quite impossible. But the game's data should be more "crash-proof". I mean games crash and such... no worries, but savegames should not be lost that way, neither should the pilot. Now I have to start flying fighters again... no carriers anymore *sigh*.

Have you tried "Rank advancing mission"? It won't get you previous data back, but gets you fly carriers quickly[:D]

I don't remember who wrote the mission, but I can email it to you if you want.

No need thanks. I have some selfmade missions where I test my selfmade ships... they are quite rewarding... if I win that is.
