What does a supply depot do for you in a sea zone???

Crown of Glory: Europe in the Age of Napoleon, the player controls one of the crowned potentates of Europe in the Napoleonic Era, wielding authority over his nation's military strategy, economic development, diplomatic relations, and social organization. It is a very thorough simulation of the entire Napoleonic Era - spanning from 1799 to 1820, from the dockyards in Lisbon to the frozen wastes of Holy Mother Russia.

Fleets dont need supplies. The depots are for supplying land units across the water. Depots have to form a chain back to a friendly province whether by land or by sea.

Quick question: does a depot also have to be built in the province containing the friendly city you're tracing supply back into?

Yep. You have to chain them out from a friendly province containing a depot.

Yep. You have to chain them out from a friendly province containing a depot.

But your units only have to be in a province adjacent to a supply depot correct? The supply depot does not have to be in the province you are in as long as there is a supply depot in an adjacent province am i right?

Anymore benefit from having supply depot directly in the province you are in???

You are right on being adjacent. The issue raised, I believe, is where does the chain of depots have to start.

No benefit that I know of from having a depot in the same province your men are in.

I may have dreamed this but I think I remember reading somewhere that if you have Depots in the same Provice where the battle take place you get more Caissons. I may be way off on this.
