Commander in Chief

Crown of Glory: Europe in the Age of Napoleon, the player controls one of the crowned potentates of Europe in the Napoleonic Era, wielding authority over his nation's military strategy, economic development, diplomatic relations, and social organization. It is a very thorough simulation of the entire Napoleonic Era - spanning from 1799 to 1820, from the dockyards in Lisbon to the frozen wastes of Holy Mother Russia.

Commander in Chief

As far as marshaling your forces, is this an easy task? Is there an easy way of managing your warships and land forces?
Are they displayed as individual divisions of calvary,Infantry and Cannon in a list? Or is it more like : 20,000 troops and in Flanders, for example. I am trying to get an idea of how large a Nation's army is and how easy/difficult it is to manage them and issue orders for them. thanks in advance for your answers, gang.
It doesn't make any sense, Admiral. Were we better than the Japanese or just luckier?

Yes, they are listed as individual divisions of infantry (10,000), cavalry (usually 8000) and artillery (3000). I've only played as France so far but I assume these figures are universal. These can be moved around a pop-up list into and out of corps and armies which will then move as a body denoted by a large national flag on the strategic map, or divisions can be released to operate on their own, displayed as a soldier, mounted trooper or cannon as appropriate. Leaders can also be moved in or out of corps and armies in the same way. Armies and corps can also be renamed to whatever you wish.

I find that the system is one of the most straightforward and easy to use that I've encountered in a game of this type, and find it strangely satisfying just organising all of my troops. [:)]
