transparent flags

Crown of Glory: Europe in the Age of Napoleon, the player controls one of the crowned potentates of Europe in the Napoleonic Era, wielding authority over his nation's military strategy, economic development, diplomatic relations, and social organization. It is a very thorough simulation of the entire Napoleonic Era - spanning from 1799 to 1820, from the dockyards in Lisbon to the frozen wastes of Holy Mother Russia.

transparent flags

Post by Gem35 »

what do these flags imply when you see them in another county's provinces? for instance, I saw france's "transparent" flag in Jutland, which is a denmark province.
It doesn't make any sense, Admiral. Were we better than the Japanese or just luckier?

The just indicates that the minor country where you saw the flag (or perhaps the one just above it as they are slightly misaligned) "likes" the nation whose flag was shown best. This can indicate that a protectorate status might be forthcoming, but the flags appear early enough that often times you'll see them change as different nations apply their diplomatic wiles.
