Diplomat : charm in PBEM

Crown of Glory: Europe in the Age of Napoleon, the player controls one of the crowned potentates of Europe in the Napoleonic Era, wielding authority over his nation's military strategy, economic development, diplomatic relations, and social organization. It is a very thorough simulation of the entire Napoleonic Era - spanning from 1799 to 1820, from the dockyards in Lisbon to the frozen wastes of Holy Mother Russia.

Me thinks so. I am in a 8 player game and I do not see any value is charming a nation, as the player just decides yes or no to any treaty that may be made. I can let you know in a couple of weeks after we have had a turn or two.

Charm is useless against a human player. You could use it against a minor country, though. You will need to use your personality to charm humans. ;)

Note this destabilises some options: suddenly coup is a much more acceptable thing to try, for example. And you will have to decide how much plundering hurts your diplomacy.
