Money and bugs

Excuse me but my English is not very good.
I'm a wargame/boardgame veteran and usually I don't like the PC games, but COG is a great game.
I have used the Ralegh [&o] guide, but I have always the same problem with France: MONEY, MONEY!! I won the game with France but it was very difficult to buy new division. Please give me an help!
Another thing: with 80.000 men I went to Sweden and fought against 140.000 men in detailed combat. I was winning the battle when a message occurs: french sounds the retreat! then suddenly another message: sweden sounds the retreat! After 3 turns the game crashed! I reloaded the game and play the battle with quick combat. I won the battle with only 10.000 casualties and sweden suffers 50.000. The next turn the swedish army was again 140.000 strong! Where and how did they find the men?

Aruom,

The 'Both Sides Rout and crash your game' bug has been acknowledged by the game's developers, and they think they have a fix in the soon to be released patch.

Perhaps Sweden added new divisions to the army? That combined with replacements from the draft pool could explain what you saw.

Has anyone seen the A/I top off Inf divisions with Mil divisions like we do?

It is absolutely not a problem. Ward off detailed battles till the patch. Besides, keep dealing blows to Swedes; France can easily win many battles as long as not outnumbered by too large a margin.
