Money question

Crown of Glory: Europe in the Age of Napoleon, the player controls one of the crowned potentates of Europe in the Napoleonic Era, wielding authority over his nation's military strategy, economic development, diplomatic relations, and social organization. It is a very thorough simulation of the entire Napoleonic Era - spanning from 1799 to 1820, from the dockyards in Lisbon to the frozen wastes of Holy Mother Russia.

Money question

Post by jinks »

I have tried to figure out the formular for money generated by an area. I can't figure it out. Anyone out there who can tell me.

Another thing, is it just me that find it somehow odd way to list expenses and income, I mean I would love 1 page with all listed incomes and expenses, instead of 2 places with different income. Talking about money in this case.

Just my 2 cents and thanks for any replays [&o]

No one other than the developer actually understands how this works. We are waiting on a white paper on the economy or something from him.

AFAIK:
- a province has a base ability to generate money - this is bar far the most significant factor: Venetia or Ile de France are awesome, for example. [lots of the minor countries have great cashflow - that's part of what makes them desirable]
- extra population factors it up ('up to double for a decent pop')
- banks add 10% per level
- presence of enemy forces or insurrectionists etc in the province reduces production [to zero for an occupied province]
- weather reduces significantly ('half during a snowstorm')
- being blockaded MAY reduce generation of money
- waste reduces it, but this is applied at an overall level for the whole nation

I figured out some of it. Like take the ammount you get under Economy Advisor under National Parameters. The neto income there should be added to the money income on the economy report to get you your total income of your nation, but some of the expeses are missing and not listed anywhere. Like each lvl of feudalism provides a nation with 2.5 labor and 8 money AND each lvl of feudalism defrays the cost of upkeeping military units by 12 money.

Ok a base value not listed can make it near imposible to figure out what ammount of money are generated, thats the one I'm missing and why I can't figure it out.

Thanks for clearing up that one Ralegh[:)]

All of them are listed on the combined province summary, link to that is in the War Room, very late in the Ralegh Guide thread.
