How many UK footy fans here?

Post by watchtower »

The Hammers me ( West Ham United )

Just thought I would post a parallel thread to the baseball one

***thinks to self 'do not mention rounders etc'.****

We might miss relegation by 1 or 2 places if we get rid of Pardew...mind you he was a lucky bugger by the end of last season.

Bringing the thread back to a game one....Football manager 2004 (old championship manager) who do you play?

The mighty Shrimpers (Southend United) for me....

Since it is half-time, I could actually mention that I've been a Liverpool-fan from late '70s. What happened last May was mind blowing stuff.

Liverpool and Notts County [X(] in FM for me.

Best game by a long, long chalk is football manager 2004 by sigames. sigames.com. This used to be Championship manager - before the split with eidos.

Hi!

What about recent football manager simulators - Football Manager 2005 (from SI) and Championship Manager 2005 (from Eidos)? I think they both worth a look, to say the least... I have both and still trying to figure out which one to play for long. I'm manager simulator's type fan from 1996, think CM 2001/02 was the best in series...

Manchester Utd for sure. Never was in Manchester and never will. Favourite player - Eric Cantona. His playtime with Devils was great, enjoyed every match with him.

Alex.

Hi Alex,

Interested to hear your comparison of the two games. I just ordered Football Manager 2005, but still would like to hear opinions of other games.

A Gooner here. Come on boys don't let me down.

Don't have either FM or CM. BUT I have seen FM play on a mates Laptop. Plays well like it much. Like the OLD CM but more.

The NEW CM from what I hear is not as good as the old one's.
