Very Happy With the Game

Crown of Glory: Europe in the Age of Napoleon, the player controls one of the crowned potentates of Europe in the Napoleonic Era, wielding authority over his nation's military strategy, economic development, diplomatic relations, and social organization. It is a very thorough simulation of the entire Napoleonic Era - spanning from 1799 to 1820, from the dockyards in Lisbon to the frozen wastes of Holy Mother Russia.

Very Happy With the Game

Post by siRkid »

I must say that I'm very happy with the game. At first I did not think I would like the detailed combat system because I like lots of detail, but after a few dozen battles its really grown on me. My last battle I was outnumbered 2:1 but I got lucky and had a large fort on each flank. I was able to put my men in line and bring my artillery up to the center and wait for the attack. When it came, the fire from the forts disrupted the attack and my line was able to hold. Great fun! [:D] I also love forming my Cav in a line just before charging a disrupted Inf unit. Great slaughter!

Once the patch comes out with the detailed battle save option, it will be like an entirely new game for me, since I only quick combat now....I cannot wait!

I must say that I'm very happy with the game.
I am also, and am rather surprised about it. There is a lot of political/economics to this game which work much better than I could have hoped for.

It doesn't make any sense, Admiral. Were we better than the Japanese or just luckier?

I am so impressed with the AI. Negotiating treaties, making trade decisions - its almost like playing people. I have never before seen such rich options. (So of course I want more! - modable personality files for the AI players!)
