SPWAW version 8.41 Changes

Post by Mike Wood »

Hello...

Changes, so far:

SPWaW 8.41 Patch Notes

1) Made it a bit harder to spot enemy units, especially at range one or zero.
2) Allowed the German artificial intelligence purchase routine a little more armor.
3) Sniper units may no longer close assault vehicles.
4) Sometimes the player setup side was incorrect, when assaulting beaches. Bug. Fixed.
5) The in game save menu button now automatically saves the Mega-Campaign. This might be useful, if the player has been experiencing CTD and wishes to save without having to exit the scenario

Bye...

Directly from the HQ of Finnish independent AT Company:

"Hommattiin teidät tänne, muttei teillä enää tankkeja tuhota. Menkää ampumaan hirviä. Poistukaa."

Translates: "We took you here, but we don't use you anymore for destroying tanks. You may go and shoot some elks. Dismissed."

Well, it was the end of my AT-Snipers Company. Back to the Lahti AT-Rifles, i guess.
Don't be shocked, I AM funny.

Thank you
[&o]

But where to get it?
[&:]

Puukkoo: You can still try to shoot at them. I think the percent to destroy tanks with rifle can't be much weaker than 1-2% (normal assault percent with sniper). [;)] Actually I have once damaged Bt-5 shooting it with rifles.

...and no one can stop the suppression crowing...

Yes, suspension hits damage tracks of the vehicle. Enough hits and the track slips off. No trouble with the older models, but KV's and JSU's are nightmares. Or actually not if Engineers manage to destroy the road beneath them.
Don't be shocked, I AM funny.

One of the greatest moments of pioneers is when you are able to put sachel charge to a bridge which carries a heavy tank... splash!

John, Michael Wood has reproduced the C&C crash problem, but the patch itself may not come for awhile yet. It is in very early testing, and Mike has limited time to commit to SPWaW. The Matrix vets know the drill -- the patch will be released when its ready, but all of us should be thankful that Mike has agreed to revisit the code one more time.

Given that, guys, please try to be patient, OK? I'm not the moderator anymore, so don't barrage me with questions -- I'm just trying to help out in my "independent contributor" role.
