A wee bit off topic

Crown of Glory: Europe in the Age of Napoleon, the player controls one of the crowned potentates of Europe in the Napoleonic Era, wielding authority over his nation's military strategy, economic development, diplomatic relations, and social organization. It is a very thorough simulation of the entire Napoleonic Era - spanning from 1799 to 1820, from the dockyards in Lisbon to the frozen wastes of Holy Mother Russia.

The screenshots look decent but to tell you the truth the Sid Meier engine always did the trick for me. I still enjoy Gettysburg, Antietam, Waterloo, and Austerlitz, and the ability to do a quick random battle in each of these allows me to quickly whip up a divisional battle when I have some spare time.

I know the graphics are not as photorealistic as the new releases, but the gameplay is tops.

Thanks for putting me on to this new game, BASB! [:)]

Looks great, maybe the game that Imperial Glory should have been. The only problem I see so far (and it could be a big one) is that (as far as I can find out) it's in realtime! I would have much preferred the traditional CM style of a planning phase followed by simultaneous action. Still, definitely one to watch.

OOOOH les grognards....been following this game already for a year. Thanks, they said indeed they had a distributor on their site.
They weren't too happy that I gave a link to this site. Not because they hate us but because they just had a distributor for their game, of whom they thought wouldn't be too happy with it. Understandable, although I explained to them that CoG is a totally different catogorie.
