Tattered sails and wrecked rigging

Crown of Glory: Europe in the Age of Napoleon, the player controls one of the crowned potentates of Europe in the Napoleonic Era, wielding authority over his nation's military strategy, economic development, diplomatic relations, and social organization. It is a very thorough simulation of the entire Napoleonic Era - spanning from 1799 to 1820, from the dockyards in Lisbon to the frozen wastes of Holy Mother Russia.

Tattered sails and wrecked rigging

Post by Grand_Armee »

As a land beast playing Prussia, I decided to send my diminutive fleet to blockade a port to which I'd lain seige. Next turn, my fleet was beset by a fleet of Swedes in bright shiny large ships.

Despite laying in port for five years in which I assumed my Prussian sailors had treated these ships with lots of TLC, my ships looked more like the Black Pearl from Pirates of the Caribbean.

I'm still a land animal...but I do have dreams of taking war to the British Isles...why do my ships look more like toilet-papered trees on Halloween Morning?

Those graphics just show that the units are below optimal strength. No reflection on the cleanliness of Prussian sailors is intended.
