Newbie Question - Ver 7?

Post by TonyN »

I've been seeing a lot of talk on this board about Ver 7. Is this a patch or a new game or what? Is it free or do you buy it?
Can somebody please explain,
Thanks

Hello.

I am not from Matrix, but I will try to explain it to you: SpWaW 6.1 is current version of this wonderfull wargame. Next patch/version, with some improvementes, killed bugs, improved Oob's, etc.. will be Ver.7. It is a free download. You can buy the Megacampaign CD's... It is worth the price.

SPWaW version 7 hasn't been released yet, but some people do have it for testing purposes. When the next Mega Campaign is released, it will have v7 included. It will also be available as an upgrade or full install, both free. Keep watching the Forum, when v7 is released it will be announced.
Retreat is NOT an option.

OK - Thanks everybody. Although, I cant see how anything can make this game better than it already is. I'm an old SP buff from way back when it first came out and this new game from Matrix is Heaven sent. I love it. I would have gladly paid $50. for it at a store.
I'm planning to buy the mega-campaign, just to support this great game company,

Thanks again

bah!

oh well, I suppose Matrix & Co. are very wise in not disclosing a release date fo v7, though I would personally like to know when I can expect to find it here..

I guess I'll just stick to my strategy of periodic checks of the download section..

Bah??? Whats that supposed to mean. How can you complain about a patch for a game that you got for free, and runs perfectly well as it is.

good grief,

Wrong Tony N, ask anyone who spent hours on purchased MCNA only to get zapped by the Yugo.

Due to WTC, and some subsequent call-ups, Matrix got behind the power curve.
Latest estimate is around Thanksgiving (end of November for you non-American types <img src="smile.gif" border="0"> ).

I purchased the MCNA and got the yugo bug and am still enjoying the game very much. I installed the patch for the yogo bug and have not had problems since. I am looking forward to lost victories.
