The battle has begun, first blood has been drawn, I killed a sniper and a jeep with my mortorcycle scouts, Viking killed my mobile 81mm with counter battery fire. Late Summer Sept 44, Western Front. 8200 points. Ver H2Hfr7.1 Smoke from his artillery location has been spotted. My German Hell's Angels are leading the way. [:D]

A battle is taking place in the northen portion of the map, several Hetzers are killed by some Jacksons. There are Elefant in numbers teamed with Px-IIIs and motorcycles screening for them.

WC 05 Turn 6 , Jackson Tank has taken out several Pzkfw_III's and surpressed several Inf. Units. Advances far North have taken out a Sherman tank, two 57cm AT-guns and a recon jeep. Our Kompfgruppe has gone into wooded area. Northern road circuit has been captured. Armor prepairing to Left-Wheel south....

This turn in the northen section of the map, US armor finally is able to hit the Germans with some numbers, my isolated TD got overwhelmed. The armor reaction platoons killed three Hetzers and three Pz-III. Thats the good news, the bad news at least 5 elephants are spotted and we have lost contact with all our forces above the reaction force that just arrived on the sceen.

Took the Hexes in the south this turn as well

Turn 11 Forces no match for Hellcats and Jacksons unless at Close Range, Bringing up the Big Cats....

A huge tanks takes a 90mm in the side, killing the monster, in other areas we fall back and lay smoke as four or five of the monster advance in a line.

In the far north another Pz-III is killed at range the Pz-III has proved no match for the Hellcats at range close in with there infantry riders they are as deadly as anything the Germans have brought to the fight. Hetzer killing is a difficult lesson to learn you can bounch 75 and 76mm rounds off the front armor all day. You have to have Jacksons to kill them effectively from the front.

In the south one of my scout carstakes a peak over a ridge and gets a panzerfaust beteen the eye. Parts flying everywhere. Arty called in on that location[:@]

Turn 13 and last AAR for this Battle...

I surrender... It's not you Viking II but this damn H2Hfr7.1 I never seen such suck ass armor... The Germans should'nt even use armor in this game ver. I kill everything else with one shot from infantry and cant kill a halftrack with an armor unit at point blank, what bull shit. I will play out the game but You can claim the win for the WC. Man I've played for ten years and I've never seen German Armor act like this. Lord it almost makes me want to stop playing all together, no wonder the number of active players is down. I guess I'll be going on to Spwaw 8.4 more and MBT. Next battle we have, I doubt that you'll even see a tank in my troops ranks...

PS: 10 years of game design and they still can stop a tank with a turret to hold it's position??? I can understand assualt tanks turning to defend but a tank with a turret should never even move.....

The Battle continues but only as a side show.......... 50 Cal MG's killing men by the dozens in the open field, thats not unsual. Sherman takes 4-5 shots from my armor while advancing, to no effect. My crew descides to bailout. Sdkfz250/C drives up and kills jeep and 3 inch AT gun, the 4 elephants had no effect on them. Meanwhile a lone dodge jeep drives through the country side to my rear retreat hex looking for an artillery unit I guess ??? Or maybe he just wants to start a Farm. [:D]

I like the photos. Too bad the battle went sour cause of unfair shooting problems. I've never played PBEM or used that 7.1 version. Why is there a different version for multiplayer?

I hope you guys can scrap again using 8.4 for a fair fight. The writing is good. Concise and exiting is how I like it. [:)]

Turn 25 Almost over, American Infantry advancing through the Center. Light armor and Inf advancing in the south. Germans stil control the northern Half of the map but none of the V-hexs. Viking is push in toward rear V-hex. Road to the Fatherland is wide open.............

Turn 26, One elephant tank supported by three Geinsberg units and two MG 34 squads advancing in the far north. Killed 3 Shermans last turn but lost 3 elephants in the next turn to counter attack. Two stug III's ,one flame squad and one PzGr unit defending the southern sector. Two halftracks and a stug somewhere in between. American's advancing on all fronts except the northern. das ist allest...
