Fuel on

I have been noticing several of the games playing with the above option.

I haven't tried playing the game yet with the fuel on. I am guessing this it the fuel cost option under game
options. What I am curious is how does this affect the game play.

The option means that when a land unit crosses a 2MP border it will use 2 supplies rather than just 1.

It is quite significant when dealing with the Siberian parts of Russia for a Japanese invasion.

actually its not a trememdous difference compared to the new strat of of bringing the USA into the war early. it adds a bit of "depth" to the game by taking such aspects into consideration as the vastness of siberia, but I think it has little strategic significance anymore.
