PBEM modifications

Crown of Glory: Europe in the Age of Napoleon, the player controls one of the crowned potentates of Europe in the Napoleonic Era, wielding authority over his nation's military strategy, economic development, diplomatic relations, and social organization. It is a very thorough simulation of the entire Napoleonic Era - spanning from 1799 to 1820, from the dockyards in Lisbon to the frozen wastes of Holy Mother Russia.

PBEM modifications

Post by Spartan07 »

Hi,

I have been playing email with a really great group of guys. We have processed 20 complete turns in almost as many days. This is really the way I want to play the game. Only thing is when you get your turn there is no WOW factor!

You have to read through the events to see what has happened and have a look around the map to see what has moved. We really need a replay of troops moving, battles occuring and the ultimate would be sight of the QB that took place. These cahnges would add so much to the game. Surely this is technically possible.

Well, of course. PBEM replay is such a standard feature in wargames that I simply assumed at first that it was broken, not missing altogether.

PBEM replay would be great, but I'm not holding my breath. My suspicion is that it would take some serious coding given how the game is now.
