CHS - No Shipyard Bombay & Columbo?

Post by witpqs »

I've fired up CHS 1.04. In looking at both scenarios 154 and 155 I've noticed that there are no shipyards in Bombay and Columbo.

I remember seeing posts about this in the past couple of weeks but I am unable to locate them. Is the absence of shipyards at Bombay and Columbo an error or is it correct?

This may have been the thread to which you were refering...

I don't have an answer for your question although some other member of the team might.

Thanks, but that wasn't the thread. I thought I saw one recently (last few weeks) where someone specifically raised the question on them being left out. Someone was going to check on it, but I don't recall seeing the answer.

Witpqs, I recall seeing that thread as well. I think it was on Andrew's plate to fix. I'm not 100% sure, but I think he said it was an error and they should both have repair yards.

I'm sure when he or The Elf see's this thread, the question will be answered.

Well, one day after getting 1.04 out it too is faulty. This is entirely my fault - I forgot to double check CHS after being told of this problem in scenario 115. I will fix it and update CHS to 1.05.

After being bombed by the Japanese, The USS Wakefield was indeed repaired at Bombay, at those repair yards.
This site also shows that while Colombo had repair facilities, the local authorities would not allow repairs to the Wakefield, (even though she was carrying Brit women and children, just evacuated from Singapore..
