Veneto

Crown of Glory: Europe in the Age of Napoleon, the player controls one of the crowned potentates of Europe in the Napoleonic Era, wielding authority over his nation's military strategy, economic development, diplomatic relations, and social organization. It is a very thorough simulation of the entire Napoleonic Era - spanning from 1799 to 1820, from the dockyards in Lisbon to the frozen wastes of Holy Mother Russia.

Is Veneto as unconquerable as Algeria?

Let me clarify a bit more. Austria was forced to liberate Illyria, while still keeping Venetia as a protectorate. I went over to declare war on Illyria, though it remained unconquerable.

You can conquer Venice in your next war against Austria, then I suppose Illyria becomes conquerable. I never had problems in conquering Venice.

I too had no problem with conquering Venice; it was my first time to attempt to conquer Illyria - a previous province of Veneto - on its own, my DOW being invalid against it. Is there any solution of the same sort as applying to Algeria?

We may have it fixed for the next patch. A workaround would be to change the data files so that Illyria simply starts the scenario as an Austrian home province. (Don't have the data files handy...)

Thanks for clarifying. Likewise Sicily can't be conquered while the other parts of Naples are in, say, Spanish hands.

I would like to know why a protectorate of mine sometimes turns into a conquered of my war rival (after her troops having broken into the city) while in other times the protectorate still remains mine with the rival just controlling it (with stripes of its nationality colour on it).
