Where to Meet For Online SPWaW?

Hi I am new to this community. I used to play SP1 years ago and came across SPWaW by chance.

I actually prefer to play online games and pit my skills against humans instead of (limited) AI.

Is there any server/IRC etc. where players hang out and match up for games or do most players mainly play vs the AI? Is SPWaW stable over the net between online players?

One other thing. I seem to recall from SP1 that mortars and artillery were fairly impotent. Has that changed now?

Are there other message boards/community sites for SPWaW?

Try Combat Net program. It seems like it came with the game.

It may be necessary to get a newer version depending upon what you have. That should be available as a download.

There is a Combat Net manual in PDF format with the game.

You can also go to the Combat Command forum.

It has been a long while since I installed the Game Server program but it wasn't that difficult to do.

Pretty hard to find players hanging out now. Used to be many more. Try using Combat Command to find some players and arrange to meet online.

I might be up for a game or two at some point. Got a nice 256k pipeline, so internet is a good option for me.

I'll have to check out this Combat net stuff first tho..

Dont forget guys, there is a "fix" you have to implement for combat net, Instructions are on the combat command forum under post titles "how to fix combat net now"
