Is there an option to play the entire Market Garden campaign? I also noticed that the 82nd's artillary in the tutorial is the fastest 82nd unit, which seemed strange.

No, the best you can do re the campaign is to play the various scenarios "from bottom to top" but they aren't linked (so you'll always get XXX Corps entering in a historical fashion for the Arnhem scenario, whatever you do in the 101st and 82nd areas). The best you could do is bias the reinforcements to favour Axis/Allies according to how well you think you played the earlier scenarios, but there's no hard-and-fast rule.

There's simply too many units and too much going on in the full campaign for the game engine to hold up on any plausible home computer system.

Madscot already answered for the full campaign.

About the arty unit, this is because it is motorized, like the Abn Mot AT unit or the Division base. All the other units are on foot.
