I (Feinder) am Allies, LtFighter is the Evil Empire.

I was trying to get this uploaded (4 maps), last night, but my son (1 year), was being a bit too helpful. Almost overwrote my maps. I would have had to excercise "patience" at that point.

I can probably do some of the "story" today (at the office). But my maps are at home, so you'll have to wait on those.

[:D] I like the story telling by map. A picture tells a lot, especially with all the weird names of places I have no clue where they are. That's a cool way to play sending out everyone and his dog to fight off invasions. Looking forward to seeing more of this tooth and nail scrapping. I suppose the Prince of Wales & Repulse team whereabouts are confidential.

Feinder, I'm wondering did you name yourself after that brute in the movie Cyborg?

He is hurting me some but not that bad yet and I am taking a lot of ground. Its the old debate do you go fast and take more casulties or go slower and loose less. My decision is that time is on the Allies side and unlike Yamamoto (who knew this) I have the power to force the Army and Navy to recognise this and work and play well with each other. On the 15th and 1st I will post the intell screen and the sunk ship list.

Hey Parker,

That's a generous offer, but you might want to reconsider it. In all fairness, the only thing I'm posting here is what is showing in the comabt replay (including the maps). My intel screen (about you) as Allies, will have a much shorter list of sunk ships than your actuals (hopefully, several more actually sunk!). Same for you, your confirmed sunk of mine, is necessarily a shorter list than mine, but only contains your own confirmed sinkings.

If you want to post it, by all means feel free to; as long as you don't mind me updating my records...

[;)]

I still need to update for the battles in the Southern PI. I'll get that done tonight after finishing the turn. I see you're trying to out-flank me in Burma... You wiley son-of-a-Nippon you!

I know that it will let you update your sunk list but just consider it extra SIGINT

You guys both need to be careful about screenies also, since TFs that show up on your screenshot may not necessarily be spotted for the other player.

Parker, it looks like you have learned a lot from the TEAM game! Steve is right when he says it is BLITZKRIEG in the Pacific.

Hey Bro,

The screenies that I post are only from the combat replay, so they are "mutual" screens. I also doctor them, to better illustrate the battle (like placing extra ships in the area, so the screens are worthless anyways).

where did you get the unit symbols from ... did you do them yourself, or are they from a website somwhere? I mean the land units that you are inserting on the maps to show where the troops are.

I really like your maps!

They're in the art directory. Can't remember the name of the file; it's "blah_blah_blah_6" (only think I can remember is that, the file ends in 6). I just highlighted the icon in bmp of the original file (in the ...6 file of the art directory), and pasted it onto my new image.

The "maps" are just screen shots during the execution phase. It may not be exactly the event you see in the illustration. It just a game event during the execution in the area, that gives me the geography that I want. You can also highlight-copy the TF icons (from the same image even), and paste it onto the map to create the "battle". I use the night phase, because there's less clutter (would be hard to illustrate my battle with all the spottings). It annoys me that it's darker than an air phase, but I don't have the patience to adjust the gamma for all my shots.

At this point, it's getting easier, since I've got plenty of icons to use on previous maps. I can grab the infantry icon from an old picture, and copy onto the new one (instead of hunting for that stupid ...6 file).

It's just a matter of drawing lines and plunking copy-pasting the TF icons on the map at this point. I'm trying to stay consistant with
medium red = japan naval
medium green = allied naval
thin yellow = japan air
thin blue = allied air

I tried making a marine icon (with the anchor), but it looked pathetic... :^)

I just use "Paint" to create the main file. Then use "imaging" to convert the file to jpg for upload.

Thanks for the compliments. While I think I'm doing "well enough", I gotta admit that the Allied commander-n-chief has a major case of the "Holy Sh_ts!".
