Game won't run

I am unable to run the game from the quick start menu or the main menu.

I tried reinstalling the game.

What error do you get? What OS are you running? Also, try re-booting after re-installing.

Windows XP.

no error, but nothing happens on the screen.

Game still not working. Can I find the 8.21 link? It's better than nothing.

I sent you a PM with a ton of things to try, please give that a shot. Since you are the only person hitting this it must be some sort of configuration issue.

Oh one other thing. Can you try maybe disabling any anti virus s/w you are running? I saw in another message that you were even having trouble downloading. I wonder if you have a corrupt install.

I used the debug file and a error report was generated and sent to your puresim address. Something about a file missing--random.dll or something.

I uninstalled, reinstalled game, rebooted, same problem.

But this time I copied the debug file over the original exe file and the game now opens.

Why is this and can I use the debug file or do I need a separate file?
