Editor Questions

Post by Dereck »

I have a couple questions concerning the database editor I'd like to clarify before I make any changes:

1. If I want to add some more headquarters are there any specific slots they have to be in? If I want to keep all the HQs together will inserting blank lines below existing HQs cause any problems?

2. If I want to move ships around to group them to locate them easier are there any ships that are required to be in any certain slots? I'm not talking about the Japanese/Allied distinction.

Thanks.

HQs are in slots 1-99 (Japanese) and 100-215 (allied). DO NOT MOVE ANY OR INSERT ANY NEW SLOTS. Really, it will screw the pooch big time. There are only a few empy HQ slots and no more can be added. Big problem for all of us.

Ise/Hyuga and Chitose/Chiyoda must stay in their original slots. We've not YET found any problems moving any others.

BIG Bummer about the HQs since I located 5 US amphibious commands I had wanted to add.

I haven't got around to checking out Japanese ships (yet) ... I'm still working on making a list of just the American WWII-era ships which has been an undertaking.
