Air Borne Supply

How do you supply paratroops the next turn? Or are they one turn wonders?

there are a couple interesting things you can do with paratroopers.

first you can strategically move them to a bomber, then load them on the bomber and do yuor attack. this way you can hide how many paratroopers you have behind the lines and move them up when needed. I haven't checked, but its possible they may lose some attack points if you move them too far (like amphib assaults).

also after they land, you can remove them from the province by transport, just as if they had done an amphibious attack and therefore you can reuse them next turn (you may lose the transport though).

a nice trick, which directly answers your question, is to load supply onto a bomber and take the supply to them. the neat thing about this is that the bomber stays in the same province that it delivers to. therefore you can then use the bomber the next turn to leapfrog to another province with a paradrop again.

Well, that's actually the part I don't like. Loading up supply with the bomber only to leave the bomber there as easy pickings for a counter attack. But I guess that is the only way. I'd rather just send supplies in and fly out.

You can do that ... but only if the bomber has sufficient range. For example, if the target of your paradrop is two areas away from your second HB (the one carrying the supplies) then the HB would need a range of four (two out, two back) to drop off the supplies and return to it's original base area.

that means, except GER (unless u tech up the range), u can move ur HB back after the delivery.

btw, besides supplies, u can also "courier" infantry units by HB (but no paradropping).

I didn't even consider that, thanks!
