Post Season Play question

Post by Eyeman79 »

David,

Some time ago you stated that because of the huge number of possible league structures that the AI would not be able to determine playoff teams in a user designed league.
At that time you were leaning toward a "drop down menu" method of selection. Since this was, I think, prior to the career re-write I was wondering what you decided on for the finished product?

RE: Post Season Play question

Nothing has changed in regards to the post season setup. For good or bad, users must create their own post season schedule. Every pro and amature league has different play off formats. There was just no way to build an all encompassing system that would allow for all of them. I looked around at software that was designed to do nothing but create league schedules and they were all very expensive. So I figured instead of trying to build something as complicated as a system that normally sells for a couple of hundred dollars, I figure just open it up to the users.
