I want to buy the game - a question

Hello everyone. I think I will be buying this game [:)] To be honest I am interested about the WIE beta mod.

What I want to know: is the OOB historically accurate? Do you have abstract "units" (more or less like in Panzer General) or concrete, historic units (like in "War in The Pacific"): xx division, army corps, armies, etc.?

The units are historical, not abstract. Glad to hear you're buying it, it's a great game engine, you won't be sorry. Don't forget to visit Run5, forums are much more active than here.

Now I am trying to buy the game but I can't. The Digital River site is going crazy or something like that [:)]

Humm... the first time, I made a mistake, so I saw an error message. Now everytime I try to repeat the operation it says "Digital River could not be found" [:@] Is this normal?

Fixed (it was my fault). Bought and downloaded it. I am going to install it [:)]

Yes, thank you, Joe. Downloaded it too. I know these forums. I visited and read some threads about the WIE beta mod. I will be installing it too. In fact, that's why I bought the game [:)]

Work on the next update to WIE is underway. Looking for 4-5 players to test out the changes. Not planning to change map or graphics in this iteration (means update files will be small ~100kB).
