Installing MegaCampaign

I've just started taking a look at SPWAW again. It's been quite a while since I played. I did a clean install of the V8.2 and patched up to v8.4.

My question is how to handle the old megacampaigns. I have Desrt Fox andwas going to install it, but when it starts, the only choice I have is to install Desert Fox MC and SP v5.0.

The CD for MegaCampaign has a lable the says it is for use with SPWAW v 5.0. I've checked other threads and it looks like others have loaded MC up. (Although apparently some problems). Do I need to install the MC first then install V8.2? ALthough V8.2 says to not install over an older version.

Hey Rick.

I don't have any direct experience with this, but here's a something to try.

You might want to try installing the MC and 5.0 to a different directory and then copy over the megacampaign files to your 8.2 MegaCam directory. Make sure you get the .cfg file. Also, you might want to download the patches if you hadn't downloaded them earlier.

It definitely should work. SPWAW has always been a work in progress, but this is an excellent way to move on to the later versions with the earlier mega-campaigns.
