minimum specs

Post by themattcurtis »

I can't find them.

Just want to make sure my wimpy Dell can do it. HTTR only needs 64 meg of RAM (with 128 recommended).

Please tell me COTA isn't going to REQUIRE more than 128 RAM, or that thing occupying my desk at home is going to struggle (even though it's supposed to have 256).

It will run but more RAM would help. Even our 4 year old test machine here has more than 128 Meg of RAM.[;)]

RAM doesnt cost the earth.

MOST PC's need at least 256 to 512 these days.

I have 256 -- just for whatever reason, anything over 128 causes the machine to chug some.

I know the specs for nearly every game out there requre 256-512. But for me, one of the appeals of wargaming is I can find quality titles and not be sunk by the single dad budget.

I'm not into FPS titles anyway [:)]

Hi Matt,
If no money available for RAM upgrade, check Google for Cacheman. This little free software can clean up a bit your RAM and gain some performance.
Good luck,

You can also check if you don't have those nasty low end graphic cards with "shared memory". It basically eats your main RAM as video memory, and it can go up to 128 MB.

HttR and CotA are not very demanding in the VRAM domain (8MB ?).
