Question about reinforcements.

Question about reinforcements.

Post by RichardTheFirst »

It happened to me three times already that I try to have reinforcemnts during a PBEM game and they appeared scheduled for the Turn 60 or 80, outside the game term. Do one needs to request them at the first few turns to increase the odds??

Turn 60-80!?! I often use reinforcements in PBEM games and they usually appear 3-4 turns after requested...longest I've seen is 6 turns (playing as Soviets). Is there possibly a setting, like there is for arty and airborne troops, that 'schedules' their arrival on a certain turn?

Good question. And when I requested them it was between Turns 5 and 9. Could it be that T60 or T80 appears on the list but they could arrive a lot sooner?

It could be that you are seeing the reinforcement turn data superimposed over some other data on the unit list.

Stuart: I don't think so.

Alby: Well, I think reinforcements are to be asked when one thinks is going to be difficult to win with the present units.

Stuart has a point. The arrival turn is superimposed other data, I have seen it several times, and it fooled me the first time.
I think that is the explanation, so the figures actually mean turn 6 or 8 instead of 60 to 80.

Bjorn:

Right, maybe that's it, cheers. Will try to look at it better next time.
