Icons for E Series Panzers?

Icons for E Series Panzers?

Post by jambo1 »

I enjoy these days playing around in the realm of the hypotheitc and "what if" campaigns. I was wondering if anybody has done icons for the Panzers that never were, the E types. Or if they are there in the shp's, I've tryed the SHP Editors and I can't make them work, must be stupid or something. There's certainly enough background available to be able to cobble these up. Baring that, if someone could point me towards Panther,Tiger II,and the Jagdpanzers icons with different cam and look etc I think I could make do. Is it possible to take icons from SP 1,2,or 3 for example? Tanks in advance and Happy Holidays.

PZIII icons are in 0241.shp
jadpanzer is in 0200.shp
you can take icons from one sp game and use in another using shp edit

Is there an icon editor out there somewhere, or perhaps an icon guru?
I feel the need for obscure aviation (among other things) Brit Westland Whirlwinds and Soviet (as opposed to Spanish or Chinese) I-153 Tchaika's and I-16 Ishak's... <img src="biggrin.gif" border="0">

For instructions on how to edit icons checkout this link:

http://www.wargamer.com/sp/editing/default.asp

Also, for E-series icons, while at wargamer.com look for 2 OOB add-ons called:

Russian German Edition
SPWW2 Advanced

They contain all kinds of neat icons. If you can't find them, email me and I can try to get them to you.

I did the icons for the game, so guess I should give a warning!! There are very few icons slots left available, I haven't had the time to go through all 1109 of them, and look for the useable ones. So, if you see one that LOOKS like it is free, check it with the find function in word, look for any duplicate entries, sometimes a hull will use the same slot as a seemingly unused icon association. Sorry, got ahead of myself, this is all done in the icon data list, in the main directory. Maybe as soon as I get moved I can have the time ot sit down and figure out which are useable! Good luck.

Tanks for the responses and the warning. I'd like those OOB files if you have them. I looked at that link and no luck, however at some point I'll get brave try the Shp Editor directions at Wargamers.
