Can't Shoot at the Prussians

Just logged off after fighting a detailed combat where I (Russia) and Austria took on the French. The Prussians, who were at war with Austria but not me, were also present.

I couldn't shoot at the Prussians! The mouse-over did not allow me to target them, but they could target me. Now when they shot at my units they auto-shot back - but I could not initiate combat manually.

Caused a really weird battle. And needless to say, not exactly realistic.

A bug?

Yea that is a odd one, I reported it a while back

seems like since you are not at war with one of the nations, you can' target them, but the AI don't like to follow the rules

so when it does happen, best thing is to try and slide to the side of them, and let them fight the people they want, and you go after who you want

don't know if it is on the list of things to fix or not

or look into to see why it happens

Russian Fuard - what version of the game? This was a known issue in 1.1, but I thought it was fixed in 1.2. Its so darn hard to test for, though.

Also, it happened again. Same series of wars, where the Prussians were neutral to me but at war with the Austrians.

Worse, the Prussian units moved right through my line like they were my allies, chasing Austrian units, then shot up my supply caissons a cpl times. I could do nothing to stop this.
