Patching games not bought online

Post by Itdepends »

Hiya all,
I've tried emails to the Matrix support address but they put me on to the online distributor who was unable to help me because I bought the game (Tin Soldiers JC) in a retail store in Australia- not online.

I am unable to patch the game as the serial number (cd key) shipped with the game works with the original install but is rejected by the patch.

Is anyone else having this problem and are you aware of a fix (or where I may be able to direct my query).

Cheers,

Daniel

Just bought JC myself (half price sale so I thought I would give it a go). Installed OK with the serial number but the first patch will not accept the serial number. Same problem that Itdepends is having.

Any thoughts???

I just wondered what version is the latest? My game says 1.1.1 (17779). Could it be that the version I have out of the box is the latest and therefore the patches are not needed and do not work?

Yes, 1.1.1 is the most recent version. You don't need a patch.

Hi,

Sorry we missed this query earlier. Yes, the new release you purchased already was updated to the latest version so the updates won't work with it and are unnecessary. Sorry for any confusion.

Regards,
