What an odd-looking aircraft. Looks like the top wing was put on as an afterthought... I have no idea.

From the way I read the source file you may be right about the top wing. The plane was originally ment to be modern for the time 1933 - 36, the landing gear were retractable and it had variable pitch propellers

Hint = This was the personal plane of Chinese Nationalist leader, Chiang Kai - shek.

It was a dual purpose aircraft.
