Want to buy - Have questions

How many patches have been released thus far for WPO, and, if I were to buy the game today would it be upgraded to include these patches(assuming there have been any)? I really dislike buying a game(or any other program or device) and then find out I have to spend a bunch of time downloading patches or drivers to get it to work right.

No patches to date, although the first one isn't far off...
