WWII long campaign

Post by Bradock78436 »

I see it is possible to play this campaign mplayer in 7.0, but when we connect tcp/ip there is no campaign option. How can we play mplayer? And can we play it cooperatively for fun?

Also, is anyone having problems with combat net? It usually won't work for me. I try to connect and it just keeps the message 'connecting to server'. Except for one time, it connected, and it was empty.

Can you load a saved game and play that tcpip? I know that you can't start a campaign as a secure email game, but if it is started and saved, it can be played as a normal pbem game, I would guess that it could be started from the first Campaign save after the core purchase.
thanks, John.

But that wouldn't give your opponents a chance to choose a core force. Will it give them a chance to add at the end? Can they even choose a nationality, or do they have to play your opponent in ever game? Should I contact matrix games and try to ask them?

Your opponent basically just plays the computer side, he can't pick a core force, just like the AI can't pick a core force. You can either discuss with your friend which side he would like to play, or assign it upon starting, in the generator, or WW2 long campaign. This concept sound really neat, but haven't tried it yet, if I did, it would have to be a small force campaign Hope this helps!

Thanks I'll try that. Do you know if there's any chance of them making it possible for opponents to select a core force, and so on in later versions?

So, you start a campaign offline, buy your stuff, then save it.Then when you go online and host, you load that save and the game should run?

Somehow I dont think the opposing player would have the same save, or would he have to?

If not ,would it work if you sent him that save?

Very anxious to play campaign online.
