Japanese lungage MOD

In a Japanese SPWAW forum(http://game10.2ch.net/test/read.cgi/game/1112985870/l50), Japanese Lungage MOD is planned. We thought two problem about this MOD. First, to use Japanese font, we must use 2bite-code. Second, we must get licence from Matrix Games.

Does Matrix Games allow us to making Japanese Lungage MOD?

The best way to do this is to write Matrix directly. I don't think there would be a problem and it would be nice for those in Japan who play the game to play it in their language. At some point in development we did have the game in a number of different languages but that was later dropped.

You mean here is the community for players and the Matrix doesn't take part in much doesn't it? In nowadays Japan speed is very important element, too. Soon, I will debate in our forum, and draw a conclusion.

That is true, but for things like copyrights and rights to do certain things in the game, Matrix and Mr. Heath should be consulted. They know best all the legal ramifications of any changes, much more than I do.
