Auto Convoys...again

1) The Manual states that Japan's auto convoy port is Osaka. When you put the mouse over "List Ships at Tokyo" on the Auto Convoy display, "List Ships at Osaka" pops up. Tokyo is the only Japanese port for auto convoys as Osaka doesn't work.

2) How do I know I need more resouces? An auto convoy is in route to Taichu from Tokyo to pick up resources. Tokyo has 90000 Resource Storage.

The Home port for auto-convoy is Tokyo.
The manual is incorrect - it actually is referring to the home port for WitP game.

You don't need to worry about resources, as these are not used directly by the game.
The engine will still create convoys to move resources.

Yeah, we changed the auto convoy at the last minute, and didn't have time to change it in the manual. It was one of those things that got changed days before release.
